I’ve made considerable progress on the coop. Then hen house is fully enclosed with 3 doors – the main ‘clean out’ door, the hatch to the nesting boxes and a pop door into the run. The run is fully enclosed except for the one panel next to the door. The nest boxes have been built and installed.
We still need a roost inside, a ramp from the pop door to the run, another vent or two, some hardware – locks and handles for the doors, and paint for the trim. It shouldn’t take too long to get those things done. Then it will be ready.
Here’s the inside. The nesting boxes were made from some scrap plywood. My assistant is making sure the pop door actually slides up and down. It passed the test. Yay.
